One woman, one occasion, one set of measurements. A bespoke T.I.O piece exists nowhere else in the world.
Your dress begins with you. Your vision. Your proportions. Your occasion. Your personality. At T.I.O, we don’t believe in simply recreating what already exists. We translate your individuality into a piece designed specifically for your body, your moment, and your original style. From the first conversation to the final fitting, every detail is intentional, because your dress should feel like no one else but you.
The process
Seven steps
- 01
Consultation
A two-hour appointment in the Ajah atelier or by video call. We talk about the occasion, how you want to feel, what you love and what you never wear. You bring inspiration; we bring questions.
- 02
Design development
We sketch two or three original directions based on your consultation — never a copy of an existing designer's piece. You choose one, and we refine it together until the drawing is right.
- 03
Measurements
Eighteen measurements taken in the studio, or guided step by step on a video call for clients outside Lagos. This is the stage that makes a bespoke garment feel like nothing else you own.
- 04
Fabric & details
From our fabric library: silks, velvets, crepes, organzas, denims, brocades. We agree colour, lining, embellishment, closures and finish — then swatch everything so there are no surprises.
- 05
Production
Your piece is cut and constructed in the atelier. Embellished and beaded pieces are worked by hand and can take several weeks. You receive progress photographs.
- 06
Fitting
One to three fittings depending on the complexity of the garment. We adjust on the body — this is where a good dress becomes yours.
- 07
Final delivery
Pressed, packed in T.I.O garment wrapping and delivered to you in Lagos, nationwide or internationally, with a care card for your fabric.

The custom design enquiry covers everything below. Have your references and dates to hand and it takes about five minutes.

- One or two options, plus anything you want us to avoid

- Helps us design something realistic from the first sketch

- Embellished pieces need six to eight weeks minimum

- Two or three reference images — mood, not copies
